Sausage Casserole

A delicious twist on sausage with gravy or the old bangers and mash. This is a great winter warmer and so easy.

Serves 6

8 Thin Sausages

1 Onion Diced

4 Rashers of Bacon Diced

1 Tblsp of Gravy Powder

1. Preheat oven to 160°C.

2. Boil sausages in a saucepan until the skins start to come off. Remove from water. Peel the skin off and cut into bite size pieces.boiled sausages

3. Cook bacon and onion in a pan until bacon is brown and onion is translucent.diced bacon and onion4. Place sausages, bacon and onion in a casserole dish.sausage casserole ingredients

5. In a cup mix gravy powder with a small amount of water to make a paste. Add to casserole and top up with warm water making sure gravy mix covers most of ingredients. Mix well and cover.

6. Place in oven stir occasionally. After 1 hour remove lid and cook for a further 20 mins to create a nice skin on top.Sausage casserole

Serve with Mash and veggies. Fresh bread also goes nice with this.
