Mummy Tummy Be Gone Wk.2

I am very disappointed to report that i had a bad week, my brain lost focus, efforts to keep my daily step count up lapsed and the healthy eating diet ventured into the bad zone – a whole packet of ginger nut biscuits gone in two days, chocolate ice cream and three hot chocolates. I could come up with a heap of excuses like bubba being unwell and clingy and the weather being cold but in truth i have no excuse, i did keep telling myself to push through but i had that little devil sitting on my shoulder saying things like ‘but the couch is comfy’, ‘biscuits are easier than making lunch’, ‘hot chocolate will warm you up’ i should not have listened and been stronger willed.

This week taught me two things the first being that i can lose weight without exercise as long as i eat well most of the time, my main meals were-

  • Italian Meatloaf & Roast Veggies
  • Marinated Chicken Kebabs & Veggies
  • Chow Mien
  • Chicken Stir Fry
  • Pastie
  • Chicken Drumsticks, Potato, Capsicum & Onion baked in Chicken Stock
  • Frozen Pizza

These are not the healthiest meals but they are not the worst either, i still kept my portion sizes down.

The second thing i learnt was that my own disappointments can fuel my enthusiasm. Putting my shame down in print really brings it home, it makes me 100 times more determined to try my best next week and have some positives to report. I will not let that little devil get to me this week.

Even with all my fails this week i did still manage to do something right because my numbers went down. With a loss of  3cms and dropping 800gms that is a total loss of 3.3kgs so far. I can only attribute this loss to me sticking to my cleaning schedule which has me doing something physical every day and not overeating.
